The community of Cruso, NC has had it's fair share of flooding from severe weather over the last few years.  In 2021, Tropical Storm Fred barreled through causing historical flooding, destroying 225 structures including homes, washed out bridges and roads, and took the lives of six individuals. 

Now Cruso is facing another long journey of recovery after Hurricane Helene dumped tremendous amounts of rain in the region causing what authorities are calling a 1,000 year flood. The loss of structures, roads, and bridges are still being calculated.  Families are facing struggles as they've lost their homes, cars, and land due to the flooding and landslides and are facing the difficult challenge of starting over.

We here at Connection Point are partnering with this community to bring vital resources, supplies and a sense of hope. 

Our Current Campaign is aimed at bringing Christmas to Cruso! We are asking for financial donations as well as physical to meet the needs of the community.
